3. How We Communicate
Our communication is primarily one-on-one between our personnel and existing customers, fleet managers, or carrier representatives. We may contact you by phone, email, or text message for the following reasons:
– To request updated insurance certificates or lease documentation
– To confirm or process payments
– To coordinate pickup, delivery, or return of leased or rented equipment
– To provide account or scheduling updates
– To follow up when other communication attempts (calls or emails) have been unsuccessful
All communication is handled manually by authorized personnel. We do not send automated, marketing, or mass messages.
4. Customer Service Communication (Phone, Email, SMS)
Torrent Leasing, Inc. communicates with customers by phone, email, and SMS strictly for Customer Service purposes. These communications may include quotes requested by the customer, leasing or rental questions, document clarification, follow-up on applications, payment or billing-related questions, equipment pickup/return scheduling, and other service-related requests made by the customer.
SMS is never used for marketing or promotional purposes.
Customers provide consent to receive customer-service SMS messages when they complete and submit the contact form on the Torrent Leasing website (https://torrentleasing.com/contact/). The form contains a mandatory consent checkbox with the following disclosure:
“By submitting this form, I consent to receive customer-service communication from Torrent Leasing, Inc. via phone, email, or SMS. This may include quotes, account questions, scheduling, or support responses. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. After the user submits the form and gives consent, Torrent Leasing may send SMS messages specifically related to the inquiry or requested service.
A confirmation SMS is also sent:
“You have agreed to receive SMS customer-service messages from Torrent Leasing, Inc. Msg freq may vary. Std msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Opt-out requests are honored promptly, and no messages are sent after opt-out unless new consent is provided.
